We’re excited to share that nowon has been selected to join The Chorus 2026, the curated founder community at the heart of ADE Startups.
Each year, Amsterdam Dance Event selects just eight early stage music tech companies from around the world to join The Chorus. This year’s cohort was chosen from hundreds of applicants, bringing together founders working on some of the most relevant challenges and opportunities shaping the future of music and technology.
For nowon, being part of this group is an exciting recognition of the problem we are working to solve and the direction in which we are building.
The music industry is creating, distributing and using more music than ever before. At the same time, reliably identifying how music is used, connecting it to the underlying works and determining who should ultimately be paid remains a complex problem.
nowon is building the infrastructure to make that connection more reliable.
We started with live music, where traditional recognition technologies often struggle with covers, altered performances and noisy environments. By combining AI based recognition with validated data from real world workflows, we are building towards a broader attribution layer that can connect music usage with works, rights information and the rightsholders behind them.
As music becomes increasingly transformed, remixed and AI generated, we believe reliable and explainable attribution will only become more important.
The selection comes in a special year for Amsterdam Dance Event as ADE celebrates its 30th anniversary in October 2026.
ADE brings together the global electronic music ecosystem across technology, rights, labels, artists, investors and the wider music business. The Chorus gives its eight selected companies a dedicated platform to connect with founders, mentors, investors and industry leaders throughout the event.
We’re grateful to the Amsterdam Dance Event team for selecting nowon from hundreds of applicants and look forward to bringing what we are building to Amsterdam.
